Asya Fomina and Lisa Tyulyubaeva are already back in Arkhangelsk after their residency in Typography Apartment in Yerevan supported by Reside/Sustain.
This is how Asya and Lisa describe the experience of the past few weeks:
“We had a chance to truly take our minds off the work routine that haunts us back home and think about our art practice and its future. We have taken some time to reflect on the exhibition we are organising this autumn, work on our portfolios, and decide what to do next.
We are happy we got a chance to explore Yerevan without a pre-decided schedule or programme, meet local artists and listen to their experiences, travel to the neighboring cities, and get to know different sides of Armenia. The landscape, language, air, and context are completely different from the ones we were exposed to growing up.”
